Contemporary Performance Producer

I am an independent Contemporary Performance Producer with over 9 years’ experience working across different art forms and creative projects. With a background in music, I am passionate about working creatively and collaboratively to make socially engaged, inclusive, accessible live performances, events, and experiences. I have developed and delivered a range of multidisciplinary creative projects in public and non-traditional arts spaces, and I continue to work in collaboration with inspirational artists, artist-led organisations, and communities. I have a calm, generous, supportive approach, and I care deeply about my work.

During the pandemic I applied my skills to the voluntary sector, managing a national research and innovation project for The Green House Bristol, funded by the Home Office. At the end of the project in May 2022 we founded Beyond Therapy festival of activism against child sexual abuse in collaboration with survivors, and its my privilege to be Festival Director and plan towards our 3rd festival in March 2025.

PROJECTS

TESTIMONIALS

Billy Alwen - Artistic Director, Cirque Bijou & Extraordinary Bodies

“Thea is a very able and competent young producer who brings many talents to projects she works on. These include a great understanding of live music, community engagement and finance. I have worked with Thea on many projects and would highly recommend her to any future colleagues.”

Karen Michael-Cox - Interim CEO, The Green House

“I met Thea during an Arts Council England funded project a few years ago and was immediately impressed with her calm professional manner and her considerable abilities to organise complex activities. I recommended her for the Home Office funded Bluestar project manager job - a high profile, national research project which concluded with the Festival of Activism in May 2022. Throughout this project, Thea provided confident delivery and excellent financial management. She demonstrated her talents for producing a high quality programme of workshops and talks, working collaboratively with the project team and a range of partner charities, commissioners and survivor artists. I have no hesitation in recommending Thea as a project manager or producer.”

Gemma Halliwell - CEO, The Green House

“My biggest thanks have to go to Thea our Festival Producer. She has been the calm, steady and quietly creative force behind today.”

Edie Edmundson - Writer and Director, The Whale’s Tale

“I have only been working with Thea a short time, but she has been a fantastic colleague. She’s practical and pragmatic about the nuts and bolts of producing. She is always warm, supportive and generous, and has been invaluable so far on this project. I’m looking forward to working more with her as the project develops.”
